Mother's Day Card
This is the Mother's Day card I painted for my mom. It was painted on 5-8-04. Yes, I waited till the last minute, yet again to paint it. (FYI... Mother's Day was on the 5th.) I'm starting to think I do my best work when I have a short deadline.

This was painted exclusively with watercolors. I tried several techniques described on a couple of my Scheewe Art tapes. Once again I couldn't get anything to work right. So... I chucked the instructions, found a little doodle in my book, 'Flower Studies and Techniques' by Susan Abdella, and went to work.

Keeping in mind a few of the techniques Susan Scheewe had mentioned and a couple I read about on the net I muddled through and at about 3 am I had created a card I felt she would like.

Once again, my mom really liked her gift. I think I'm just going to paint stuff for her from now on. So far they are the only ones that have came out decent. ^_~

To the right is a picture of the logo I put on the back of the card. I always put a little kitty on the back of the cards I make.=)
