Alanna Out for a Walk

This is Alanna, an elven priestess, walking down a snowy trail in the forest. Why???..... who knows. It’s just an idea that popped in my head.

The pencil sketch for this was done in December of 2004. The digital coloring was finished 2/13/05. I decided that the original trees I had drawn looked like a bunch of straws sticking out of the snow, so the ones in the finished picture were done completely digitally.

The style of this, especially the trees and background, isn’t like anything else I’ve done and once I figured out how to get the trees like I wanted them, they were fun to do. The only thing I don’t like is how the very small branches came out. If I figure out a way to make them better I may go back and fix them.
