This sketch was done in the fall of 2005 and was intended to be an insert into the sketchbook I made for the Basic Design 1 class I was taking. One of our assignments was to design a cover for our sketchbook. I, being insane or something, decided to make a complete book ~.~. I’ll probably put it up in the craft section sometime. I originally intended to color this sketch, but due to a lack of time, never got around to doing it. So I turned in my sketchbook with a sketch on the front. Hopefully I’ll get some time to finish it later as a stand alone piece.

The sketch was done with a mechanical pencil on white sketchbook paper. And in case you were wondering, the text on the right was just put there temporarily. I intended to add Japanese script where the writing is and since they write from right to left, I did so also in my sketch version.

Even though it wasn’t finished, I think it kind of fits the theme. What better to put on a sketchbook that a sketch!
