Here is another ink drawing/painting done for Tabitha. It was also done on 4-4-05.

This 'word' was on a candle I have. I couldn't find it in my Japanese dictionary (probably needed a Chinese one or something.) and I assume it means 'wood'. I scanned in the original, did some 'digital magic' to it, and then painted my version with some permanent calligraphy ink and a paint brush.

This picture was done in two tries. I almost dropped my brush on the first one and learned very quickly that the ink doesn't erase at all, even when wet. I ended up removing part of the paper when I tried. >.< That was ugly. ^_~

No, it's not authentic oriental calligraphy (Basically I 'faked it' ^_~), but I think it turned out really well. I was surprised at how easy it was, once I figured out how I wanted to tackle the project.
