Asymmetrical Balance

Asymmetrical Balance - Balance achieved with dissimilar objects that have equal visual weight or equal eye attraction.

This project was done sometime in the fall of 2005 for the class 'Basic Design One'. I don't remember exactly how long it took to make this, but it was probably about two or three hours. It was made using black construction paper on white drawing paper.

During the critique, the class thought that it would have been a more effective design by attaching the 'lines' to the smaller shape rather that the larger one. Later during my ‘review for grading’ with the teacher, he stated that though my classmates didn’t see it, what I had done was 'dead on'.

Grade - I got full points for this project, which gave me an 'A'.
