Merlein
This is Merlein from the Heroic Legend of Arislan/Arslan Senki anime. This picture was originally supposed to be one of Elam, but I drew his body all wrong. ((aka.. I gave an adult body to a boy... ack!!!)) Sooo... I decided that instead of redrawing it I would just do some editing and make it Merlein instead. Unfortunately when I redid the picture I forgot to redo the proportion of this bow till after I had already colored it. So... as a result he has a long-bow instead of the normal sized one he is supposed to have. I sketched this pictured on 12/04/02 and colored it 1/04/03. It was done on some of my new acid free paper. It had a different texture from the copy paper that I had been using previously, so as a result it seemed to be darker (which is good =) ) but not as sharp ( which is bad =( ) as my previous work when I scanned it in. This was fixed in Photoshop. Also his hair was way off in color for some reason (probably need to get some new pencils or something.), so I digitally enhanced the color. The background was from a postcard that I altered for this picture. Besides the bow being too big and wishes for a better background, I think this one came out pretty nice in the end. =) |
