A Good Book By The Fire

This painting is of Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter books/movies. The inspiration for this came while looking at this picture and it just screamed to me that this would be a great Hermione pose.

This I drew a bit more like I imagined her from the books than to look exactly like Emma Watson. I tried to merge the movie version of her with the one in my head.

I did a digital drawing in July 2005 then partialy painted it with watercolors in August 2005. It was put on hold while doing major home remodeling & finished with acrylics in January of 2008.

Painted on 100-120lb paper with watercolor and acrylics.
