Twi'lek

This picture is of a Twi'lek from Star Wars. It was drawn in the winter of '98. This, I think, is one of the first pictures I drew in the Anime style. I had downloaded a tutorial from some web site (I don't even know if it's up anymore.) and I pretty much did exactly as instructed. This is where those really strange looking eyes I put on just about all my earlier drawings came from. It wasn't till I saw Fushigi Yuugi a year or so later that I changed my style drastically to one I'm happier with.

It was colored using Photo Paint and a mouse and turned out surprisingly well even with the lack of shading. It was one of the things that kept me going. My niece,Violet, who has given me endless amounts of advice and encouragement, really liked it and has told me so often. It always made me feel proud and I figured if I could do one good picture I could do more.
